The Impact of Integrating Human Expertise and Artificial Intelligence on Improving Logistics Decision-Making: A Field Study in the Saudi Environment

The study aimed to identify the effect of combining human experience and artificial intelligence to improve logistical decision-making. A field study on the Saudi environment was conducted, where the descriptive analytical method was used as the study method to analyze the effect of human experience and artificial intelligence as independent variables on rationalizing logistical decisions as the dependent variable. A field study was conducted on a sample of Saudi joint-stock companies, where the sample size was 111 individuals, and the SPSS statistical program was used to conduct the statistical analysis. The study concluded with several findings: A statistically significant relationship (p < 0.05) exists between artificial intelligence and improved logistical decision-making. However, no statistically significant relationship (p > 0.05) exists between human experience and improved logistical decision- making, as the study relies solely on human experience without the use of artificial intelligence. Furthermore, the statistical results indicate a statistically significant relationship (p < 0.05) between the integration of both artificial intelligence and human experience and improved logistical decision- making. The study made several recommendations, including paying attention to artificial intelligence education at all educational levels, providing training courses to raise the level of performance of workers in the field of artificial intelligence, and focusing on conducting research and studies in the field of artificial intelligence in the Saudi environment.
