Abstract

This study aimed to identify the impact of applying the dimensions of comprehensive digital transformation (infrastructure, operations, culture, and digital human resources) on enhancing operational efficiency within the Saudi business environment, in alignment with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030. The study used a descriptive, analytical, and comparative approach, as it is the most suitable method for describing the phenomenon, analyzing its dimensions, and testing the differences between organizations. The study population included companies and institutions operating in the Saudi private sector. The researcher relied on a purposive sample of (114) individuals, including administrative leaders, operations managers, and employees from organizations with varying degrees of digital maturity (fully transformed companies and startups). The study reached key results, most notably: there is a strong and statistically significant positive impact of comprehensive digital transformation on increasing operational efficiency, as this transformation explains over (53%) of the improvement in process quality and cost reduction. Automation and cloud computing have significantly contributed to speeding up service delivery and reducing human errors, proving the superiority of startups and fully digitalized companies in flexibility and ensuring business continuity during crises. The study recommended the need to intensify training and development programs to bridge the skills gap and build digital human resources. It also urged companies to formulate integrated digital transformation strategies and completely avoid fragmented, partial digitalization solutions.
